Alejandro Garnacho to be rewarded with new contract worth £50,000 a week by Manchester United
Manchester United are set to offer Alejandro Garnacho a new contract worth £50,000 a week after his recent performances for the club, according to the Daily Star.
Currently, the Argentine’s salary is £5000 and the Red Devils are preparing to increase it tenfold. The Old Trafford side are already in talks with the 18-year-old’s representative and are confident of reaching an agreement.
United are eager to tie down Garnacho’s future in Manchester for the long term. The club are aware of the Argentine’s talent and are wary amidst growing interest in him. Two of the biggest clubs in the world, Barcelona and Real Madrid, are eyeing the 18-year-old.
However, the 900 per cent pay rise has the Red Devils optimistic in their bid to keep a hold of the youngster. He is expected to sign a five-year deal that will include incremental pay increases.
Garnacho signed for the Old Trafford side in the summer of 2020 from Atletico Madrid. Since then, he has compressed a lot of folks with his displays for the youth teams. He won the FA Youth Cup with the U21 side in the previous campaign.
The Argentine made his debut for United last season in April. Against Chelsea in the Premier League, the 18-year-old came on as a substitute in the final minutes of the fixture.
Garnacho was handed his first start for the Red Devils by Erik ten Hag in the Europa League against FC Sheriff. The youngster played 79 minutes in the 3-0 win. And the 18-year-old scored his maiden goal for the Old Trafford side against Real Sociedad a week later.

The Argentine has come in clutch for United in the last few matches, making a difference late on in the games. He has missed out on a place in Lionel Scaloni’s World Cup squad. However, if the forward keeps on progressing, he will soon play a part in the most prestigious tournaments.
