Jude Bellingham to “score” clubs like Erling Haaland to decide future amidst Manchester United interest
Manchester United target Jude Bellingham will “score” clubs like Erling Haaland to decide his next destination. The 19-year-old’s former Borussia Dortmund teammate ended up moving to Manchester City in the summer of 2022.
The England international is set to follow the same principle that the Norwegian followed and “dispassionately” decide his future club. Several sides around Europe are interested in the midfielder, including the Red Devils and the Cityzens.
According to CBS journalist Ben Jacobs (h/t Manchester Evening News), Bellingham will follow in Haaland’s footsteps when moving away from BVB. The 19-year-old will rank the clubs according to certain criteria and make up his mind.
“I think Bellingham, from what I gather, will do exactly what Haaland did. He’ll score who he joins dispassionately, which is really key.
“He scored all the suitors and Manchester City were top of the list, and I think Bellingham will do the same and that’s going to be very important.”
The England international moved to Dortmund in the summer of 2020 from Birmingham City. And it has ended up being a good decision as the midfielder has developed into a fine player.
Bellingham has thrived with the Bundesliga outfit in his time there. The 19-year-old has become an influential member of the German club’s starting lineup.
In the current campaign, the England international turned many heads with his performances in the Champions League. The midfielder has also been handed the captain’s armband on a few occasions by head coach Edin Terzic.
Bellingham is currently with the Three Lions in Qatar to participate in the World Cup. Gareth Southgate’s team will take on Iran on 21 November for their first game of Group B in the Middle East.
United’s middle of the park has decent quality. Unfortunately, our bench looks a bit underwhelming with the likes of Fred, Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek.

The Red Devils have not seen much success in recent years. However, Erik ten Hag is changing the perception of the club. And a player like Bellingham could evidently help take the Old Trafford side back to the top of the pedestal.
