Premier League rivals Liverpool are willing to commit a huge sum to land Borussia Dortmund star and Manchester United target Jude Bellingham, according to Football Insider (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The Merseysiders are in pole position to land the 19-year-old from the Bundesliga giants. And a move for the England international is seen as possible in the January transfer window.
Other English top-flight sides like Manchester City and Chelsea are also interested in the midfielder. European champions Real Madrid are also keeping an eye on the player currently plying his trade in Germany.
Bellingham joined Dortmund in the summer of 2020 from Birmingham City. The midfielder has developed into one of the finest midfielders over the years.
In the current campaign, the 19-year-old has seemingly taken his game to the next level. Edin Terzic, the Bundesliga outfit’s manager, has even handed the youngster the captain’s armband on a few occasions.
The England international’s performances in the Champions League this season have especially turned many heads. In five group-stage appearances in the prestigious competition, he has scored four goals and provided one assist.
United added reinforcements to the middle of the park in the summer of 2022. They were much-needed, considering the departures of the likes of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic in the recent transfer window.
Christian Eriksen and Casemiro have come in and made an immediate difference in the Manchester-based club’s engine room. The duo have been important in Erik ten Hag’s starting lineup this season.

However, Bellingham is a generational talent. And if United can get their hands on the 19-year-old, it would be a major coup for the club. However, will the Red Devils be able to pull off a deal? Only time will tell.
