Bayern Munich did not meet Jorge Mendes; not interested in Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich did not meet Jorge Mendes, the agent of Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the head of football at SPORT BILD Christian Falk on Twitter.
The Bavarians are not interested in signing the Portugal international from the Red Devils. It was stated by The Daily Mail that the German outfit had met with the 37-year-old’s representative last week. However, Falk claims otherwise.
Ronaldo sat down with Piers Morgan and gave an outrageous interview. In it, he took aim at the club and the manager. The Portuguese icon stated that he had no respect for Erik ten Hag.
Subsequently, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s future at the club is seemingly uncertain. He has not enjoyed the best of seasons under the Dutch manager in Manchester.
The 37-year-old has been relegated to a substitute role in the current campaign. He has not been handed regular starts by the gaffer, who has preferred other options in the number nine position.
Ronaldo has struggled to find the back of the net consistently as well. He has scored just once in 10 Premier League appearances in the 2022/23 season. The Portuguese star beat Jordan Pickford when United faced Everton in October to score his 700th club career goal.

Other than that, the 37-year-old has hardly had an impact when he has featured for the Red Devils. The forward has cut a frustrating figure on the pitch at times.
In recent weeks, Ten Hag has evidently tried to incorporate Ronaldo into the team more. He has started more games. Unfortunately, the 37-year-old has been unable to take his opportunities.
