Cristiano Ronaldo and agent Jorge Mendes met with Bayern Munich amidst uncertain Manchester United future
Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes held talks with officials from Bayern Munich in England last week, according to The Daily Mail.
The Portugal international recently held an interview with Piers Morgan, where he slammed the club and the manager. Therefore, it seems his future at the Old Trafford side is uncertain.
Mendes had offered the 37-year-old to the Bundesliga giants in the summer transfer window. Other clubs such as Chelsea, Sporting Lisbon and Napoli were also given an opportunity to sign him.
However, Ronaldo ended up staying in Manchester. The Bavarians were not keen on making a move for the forward in the summer of 2022 due to his wages.
But now, the Bundesliga giants are now reconsidering an approach for the Portuguese star. The German outfit have concerns about Sadio Mane’s fitness and are not sure whether Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will stay beyond the season.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is looking to play Champions League football once again. And Bayern will face Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16 next year.
Ronaldo has lost his starting place at United under Erik ten Hag. The Dutch manager has preferred the likes of Marcus Rashford And Anthony Martial ahead of the Portuguese.
The English and French forwards have posted a good number of goals and assists in the current campaign. Unfortunately, the 37-year-old has struggled to find the back of the net this season.

Thus, it would be wise for the club to move on from Ronaldo in the coming transfer window. It is evident that the player does not want to be part of the project in Manchester under Ten Hag. Hopefully, an amicable solution can be found in the winter.
