Borussia Dortmund set £26.2 million price tag on Youssoufa Moukoko amidst Manchester United interest
Manchester United will have to part ways with £26.2 million to bring Borussia Dortmund youngster Youssoufa Moukoko to the club in January, according to Sport Bild (h/t Mirror).
The Bundesliga outfit have set the price tag on their 17-year-old star. His contract with BVB expires at the end of the season and the Germans could look to cash in on the youngster in the winter transfer window.
Premier League rivals Liverpool are another side keeping an eye on Moukoko. European giants Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the 17-year-old’s signature.
The forward has had a blistering start to the 2022/23 campaign. He has featured in 22 games for Dortmund in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing six assists.
The youngster has been rewarded for his form by getting a call-up to the German national side for the World Cup. Hansi Flick picked him to represent Die Mannschaft in Qatar.
Moukoko will likely also command a £6 million annual salary considering the strides he has made over the last few months. It will be interesting to see where the youngster ends up in the coming transfer windows.
The 17-year-old has mostly played in the centre-forward position for BVB this term. And United evidently need to bolster the forward line by bringing in a number nine.
Marus Rashford has been deployed as our striker for most of the season by Erik ten Hag. However, the 25-year-old’s quality in front of goal leaves a lot to be desired on some occasions.

Moukoko is still young and has a long way to go in his career. Some fans might not want to see him be the first choice week in, week out. However, if the Red Devils can get the 17-year-old, there is a lot of potential to work with.
