Barcelona ‘tracking’ Manchester United and Argentine youngster Alejandro Garnacho

Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho is attracting interest from Barcelona, with the Blaugrana ‘tracking’ the Argentine, according to Fichajes via The Hard Tackle (h/t Manchester Evening News).

The 18-year-old’s recent performances have caught many people’s eyes. His displays have also gotten him on the Catalan outfit’s radar. Xavi Hernandez’s team are ‘considering’ making a move for the youngster next summer.

Garnacho is contracted to the Red Devils until the summer of 2025. Erik ten Hag has of late handed him a few opportunities in the team. And the Argentine has taken them with both hands.

The 18-year-old made his United debut in the previous campaign in April. He came on in the final minutes of a Premier League fixture against Chelsea. The game ended 1-1.

Ten Hag initially gave the winger a few opportunities in the 2022/23 season. However, it was not until the end of October that the youngster got his first start.

Garnacho made his full debut for the Old Trafford side in the Europa League against Sheriff Tiraspol, playing 79 minutes before being substituted. The 18-year-old then scored his first goal for the senior side a few days later against Real Sociedad in a 1-0 win.

Ten Hag gave the youngster a start against Aston Villa in the league. However, while the Argentine looked energetic, the Red Devils lost 3-1 at Villa Park.

Garnacho put in a scintillating display in our last fixture against the Lions in the Carabao Cup. He came onto the pitch at around the hour mark and gave two assists to help United to a 4-2 victory.
