AC Milan playmaker Brahim Diaz eyed by Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is eyeing a move for AC Milan playmaker Brahim Diaz, according to El Nacional (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The Dutch manager is obsessed with the Spain international, who is currently on loan at the Rossoneri from Real Madrid. However, the Red Devils could have to part ways with £47.2 million to secure the 23-year-old’s signature.
The Old Trafford side have already held initial talks with Los Blancos for Brahim. Carlo Ancelotti will not be able to guarantee the attacking midfielder a starting berth should he return to Madrid.
The playmaker made his way through the youth ranks at Manchester City before making his move to the Spanish capital. However, after not being given a lot of game time with the current European champions, the 23-year-old opted to move to Milan on loan in the summer of 2020.
Since then, the Spaniard has been with the Serie A champions. He has enjoyed a key role in the starting lineup of the Italian giants over the years.
In the current campaign, Brahim has been a pivotal player for Milan. The 23-year-old has featured in 14 games for the Rossoneri in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing one assist.
The Spaniard is a versatile player and has played in multiple positions throughout his career. However, the number 10 role has been where the youngster has thrived this season.
Bruno Fernandes has made the playmaker position his own at United. The Portugal international has been a vital member of our starting lineup over the years.
