Napoli forward Hirving Lozano backed to join Manchester United by former agent Alessandro Monfrecola

Manchester United have been tipped as a potential destination for Napoli forward Hirving Lozano next summer. The Mexican star’s former agent Alessandro Monfrecola has suggested that the player could leave Italy next summer.

Lozano joined Napoli from PSV Eindhoven in 2019. The 27-year-old has been an essential player for Gli Azzurri over the years. However, according to his ex-representative, playing in England has been the Mexican’s dream.

Speaking to Gonfia la Rete (h/t Mirror), Monfrecola believes Lozano will part ways with Napoli. And United, amongst other Premier League clubs, are being associated with the Mexican’s signature.

“Next June, Lozano will leave in my opinion.

“Although he is delighted to be here, he has never hidden that he aspired to the top English clubs.

“I think he could land in Manchester United or Everton. This does not exclude that other English teams could enter the negotiation.”

United reinforced the attack in the recent transfer window with the signing of Antony from Ajax. The Brazilian reunited with Erik ten Hag in Manchester.

Antony has started every game for the Red Devils since his arrival a few days before the transfer deadline. The 22-year-old scored on his debut in the 3-1 victory against Arsenal at Old Trafford in the Premier League. We are the only side to have beaten the Gunners this season.

Ten Hag has also managed to bring the best out of some of our other attacking stars. Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho struggled for form in the previous campaign.

However, under the Dutch manager, the trio have seemingly found their feet once more. The United academy graduate has been especially pivotal for us. Rashford has scored in some crucial games for the Red Devils in the current campaign.

Lozano has played an essential role in Naples this season. Luciano Spalletti’s team are undefeated in the current campaign. Gli Azzurri sit on top in Serie A as well as their Champions League group.

Considering the success the Mexican is enjoying at Napoli, would he want to leave? It remains to be seen. However, the former Eredivisie star could seemingly be lured if United try to pursue him.
