Manchester United stars have warned Antony about the next fixture against Everton at Goodison Park

Antony has already been warned by his Manchester United teammates about the next fixture against Everton on 9 October. The Red Devils visit Goodison Park to take on Frank Lampard’s team.

The Toffees were flirting with relegation last season. However, they managed to survive. But the 2022/23 campaign has seen the Goodison side be more solid in defence.

And speaking to Premier League Productions via Manchester Evening News ahead of United’s next Premier League game, Antony has revealed the players have already told him that it is going to be tough.

“We know it’s going to be a difficult, tough game.

“My team-mates have already spoken to me about this fixture. They said it will be difficult. We have to impose our game, show our strength.”

United do not have the best of records at Goodison in the last few years. We have won just twice in the last five fixtures against Everton at their home ground in the league.

Last season, the Red Devils faced Lampard’s team away towards the end of the campaign as they were still fighting relegation. The Toffees found the lead through an Anthony Gordon strike that deflected off of Harry Maguire.

The 21-year-old forward has been pivotal for Everton this season as well. Gordon has been lively for the Goodison side, scoring two goals in eight league appearances.

Everton themselves are on a good run at the moment. Lampard’s team have signed some decent players in the recent transfer window, including former United star James Garner.

The Toffees are unbeaten in their last six English top-flight matches. They have won their last two games against West Ham and Southampton in the PL.

On the other hand, United broke their four-game win streak in the league with the 6-3 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. However, the game at Goodison is an opportunity to build another run of victories for the Red Devils.
