Paul Scholes wants Anthony Martial, Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford to start for Manchester United vs Everton
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes wants to see Anthony Martial, Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford start in the next Premier League game vs Everton. The former midfielder believes the trio are the most potent at the moment.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner started in the 3-2 win against Omonia Nicosia in the UEFA Europa League. However, the 37-year-old cut a frustrating figure at the GSP Stadium as he scuffed his shots.
On the other hand, the French and English forwards, who came on as second-half substitutes, found the back of the net. The United academy graduate scored a brace and gave an assist as well.

Speaking after the positive result in Cyprus on BT Sport via Manchester Evening News, Scholes feels Martial, Ronaldo and Rashford should be United’s front three at Goodison Park.
“I’ll go with that front-three [Martial, Rashford, Ronaldo]. At the minute, I think they’ll be the most dangerous.
“Ronaldo… Sunday could be a game for him. Martial and Rashford pick themselves after their performances tonight.”
Who should start against Frank Lampard’s team?
Ronaldo was in search of the 700th goal of his club career against Omonia. And while the Portuguese did have the opportunities, he failed to make the most of them in Cyprus.
United went into the break with a one-goal deficit. Omonia scored in the 34th minute through a Karim Ansarifard strike. And Erik ten Hag made a few changes before the start of the second half.

Rashford came on for Jadon Sancho, while Luke Shaw replaced Tyrell Malacia. The England international equalised for the Red Devils in the 53rd minute.
Bruno Fernandes was subbed off for Martial in the 61st minute. And the French forward gave United the lead in the 63rd minute.

Rashford and Martial have evidently made a case for themselves to be in the starting lineup on the weekend. However, Ronaldo only has one goal to his name this season. It remains to be seen who the manager picks to start against Everton.
