Confirmed Manchester United starting XI to face Omonia Nicosia in the Europa League
Manchester United are set to face Omonia Nicosia at the Tsirio Stadium in Cyprus in the Europa League. The Red Devils will play their third group-stage match against Neil Lennon’s team.
United currently sit second in Group E of the UEL. Real Sociedad, who beat the Old Trafford side 1-0 in the first game, are on top, having won both their fixtures so far.
The Manchester-based club have got three points on the board. We beat Sheriff Tiraspol 2-0 in a game that saw Cristiano Ronaldo score his first and only goal of the 2022/23 campaign. However, the Portuguese has not been the first choice under Erik ten Hag.
Marcus Rashford has been preferred by the gaffer in the number nine position. The 24-year-old has scored important goals for us this season. However, he drops to the bench.

United had been on a good run up until the Manchester derby. Then, Pep Guardiola’s team put a stop to the Red Devils’ momentum with a 6-3 drubbing at the Etihad Stadium.
The promising defensive partnership of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez faltered against Manchester City. And fans will not be able to see the 2018 World Cup winner feature in Cyprus as he picked up a knock in the derby.
Harry Maguire has also been missing in action since the international break. The 29-year-old injured himself while playing for the Three Lions against Germany.
The Red Devils have now revealed their line-up for the game, which can be seen in the tweet from the official club account below:
There was also a lot of stick directed towards the Dutch manager for not starting Casemiro against City. He has put the Brazilian in from the start against Omonia. It is a very strong line-up and it is clear that Ten Hag is taking this game, group, and competition seriously.
