Manchester City’s Erling Haaland sends Manchester United warning ahead of the derby

Speaking in an interview ahead of Manchester United’s match against Manchester City in the derby today as quoted by Manchester Evening News, Norwegian and Man City superstar Erling Haaland has sent the Red Devils a warning that he is ready for the momentous clash.

Haaland is a man full of confidence. He has absolutely set the Premier League on fire this season and has taken absolutely no time to adapt to the rigours of English football since making the move from Dortmund in the summer.

To say that the Norwegian is banging in goals for fun would be an understatement. He is absolutely on top form, already netting two PL hat-tricks and there is a feeling that this could only get better from here on.

In 10 matches for Pep Guardiola’s side this season, the 22-year-old has scored 14 goals and provided one assist across all competitions. These numbers are absolutely ridiculous and it is scary to think of the heights that Haaland could reach.

The former Dortmund man has been the talking point among the media ahead of the derby and there is a huge question on how the Red Devils are set to stop the striker who just does not seem to stop scoring goals.

Ahead of the clash against the Red Devils, Haaland set out a strong message that he was ready for the game.

“I don’t think I need to say too much, all I need to say is… I’m ready”

Erik ten Hag would have raked up his brain for the past few weeks to devise a strategy to stop the 22-year-old. However, Man United must remember that they are playing against a team of 11 players and must not get carried away.

If Man United indeed need to stop Haaland, then Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane who are likely to be the starting centre-back partnership will have to be at their best and they will also need help from the full-backs.
