Marcus Rashford and Erik ten Hag receive Premier League Player and Manager of the Month awards
Manchester United duo Marcus Rashford and Erik ten Hag have been bestowed the Premier League Player and Manager of the Month award, respectively.
The Dutch manager has led his side to two victories in September. The Red Devils defeated Leicester City and table-toppers Arsenal. Subsequently, Ten Hag has won his first-ever PL MOTM award, via the club’s official Twitter.
On the other hand, United’s 24-year-old English forward has again found his feet under the former Ajax head coach. And for Rashford’s performances, the winger has been honoured with the PL POTM, via the club’s official Twitter.
Against the Foxes and the Gunners, Rashford contributed toward every goal the Old Trafford side scored. At the King Power Stadium, the 24-year-old assisted Jadon Sancho for the game’s only goal.
Rashford then put on a show against Arsenal. The North London side went behind as the United academy graduate slipped Antony in to score on his debut. The 24-year-old followed it up by two goals.
The Red Devils were the first side to take points away from Arsenal this season. The 3-1 victory at Old Trafford took our winning run in the English top flight to four games.
United have seen an impressive turnaround since the start of the 2022/23 campaign. Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford beat us convincingly. And the Old Trafford side sat at the bottom of the table after two points.
However, Ten Hag made some big changes after the 4-0 loss at the Gtech Community Stadium. And the Red Devils have not looked back ever since.
