Frenkie de Jong and Jude Bellingham on Manchester United wishlist for next summer transfer window

Manchester United will pursue deals for Frenkie de Jong and Jude Bellingham in the next summer transfer window, according to ESPN (h/t Express). The Red Devils are keen on bringing two, having failed previously.

The Barcelona midfielder was a target for United in the summer of 2022. However, the Holland international opted to stay with the Blaugrana. He was not keen on leaving Xavi Hernandez’s team.

Borussia Dortmund’s star youngster was also on United’s radar a few years back. The Red Devils tried to get the 19-year-old in 2020. However, the ex-Birmingham City prodigy opted to go to Germany.

However, Erik ten Hag still wants to reunite with De Jong in Manchester. The two were together at Ajax for a few seasons before the Holland international departed for Barcelona.

The Dutch manager is adamant about a deal materialising between the Red Devils and De Jong. And the Holland international is seen as someone the Old Trafford side will be able to get in the future.

United also want to add Bellingham to the squad next summer. But getting a deal over the line for the 19-year-old will not be easy. The Dortmund star has garnered attention from the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Chelsea.

United are also not planning any major revamp in January. Thus, the Red Devils are saving up for next summer, with De Jong and Bellingham the main targets.

Christian Eriksen and Casemiro arrived in the recent transfer window. And the two have brought with them immense experience to the squad with the latter exceeding expectations and becoming an integral part of Ten Hag’s starting XI.
