President of Al-Hilal makes shock Cristiano Ronaldo revelation
Speaking on Thamanya’s YouTube channel as quoted by Manchester Evening News, the president of Saudi club Al Hilal has made a shocking revelation that his side were in negotiation with Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford has been far from certain. He was linked with an exit away from the club throughout the transfer window but a move never materialised for the Portuguese superstar despite many rumours.
The former Real Madrid man joined the Red Devils from Juventus last summer in a move that was expected to take Man United back to the pinnacle of English football but the transfer has been anything but that.

Ronaldo had a good season on a personal note scoring a ton of goals. However, the same cannot be said about Man United though who struggled throughout the season and eventually finished trophyless at the end.
This season has been very poor from Ronaldo. He missed the pre-season tour with the Red Devils and Erik ten Hag seemed to prefer others when the season started with the 37-year-old still not up to speed with the rest of the team.

Al Hilal president has now made a shocking revelation that the Saudi club made an offer for Ronaldo but a move could not be completed
“Yes, we negotiated with Ronaldo. The problem was not in the money or the principle, Al-Hilal is able to bring in the stars of the world, but it was in the decision of the Sports Arbitration Center that prevented us from registering the players.”
It is still not clear how much truth is there in the words of the Al Hilal president. Even if the club made an offer, Ronaldo might not have wanted to move outside Europe, especially with a World Cup on the horizon.
