According to The Athletic (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United have an advantage in securing the services of Borussia Dortmund and England star Jude Bellingham in the 2023 summer transfer window,
Jude Bellingham has risen to prominence since his move to Borussia Dortmund and has seen his development grow at an exponential rate. Thus, it is only clear that all top teams are in to acquire the Englishman’s services whenever he decides to leave the German outfit.
From the onset of the rumours, it is speculated that Liverpool would be the heavy favourites to land the midfielder and are willing to spend big on the player to acquire his services.
However, as claimed by the Athletic, Manchester United have found an added advantage over their rivals regarding signing the midfielder due to the presence of a good relationship between United football director John Murtough and Bellingham’s father, Mark.
Manchester United tried to sign the talented midfielder when he was still at Birmingham City and the club did all in its power to persuade the teenager.
This included a special visit for the player to Old Trafford where club legends like Sir Alex Fergurson, Bryan Robson and Eric Cantona were present to show him the club facilities with a big intent to bring Bellingham to the Theatre of Dreams.
However, he chose to move to Borussia Dortmund in order to develop his skills further and has only risen in prominence since then, with him now being one of the hottest properties in European football.
At just 19 years of age, Jude Bellingham already has the world on its feet and will only grow better and better with time. It is tough to comprehend the end product of the midfielder who has crazy potential to reach the very top.
