Jadon Sancho ‘delighted’ with the qualities of new Manchester United signing Christian Eriksen
Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho has showered new signing Christian Eriksen with praise. The 22-year-old is ‘delighted’ to play alongside the Denmark international.
The Red Devils took on Sheriff Tiraspol in the second game of the Europa League. The 22-year-old scored the opening goal, assisted by the former Tottenham Hotspur star midfielder.
Speaking to MUTV (h/t Manchester Evening News) after United’s 2-0 win over the Moldovan opposition, Sancho had only good things to say about Eriksen. The winger elucidated what the Danish national brings to the team.

“Christian [Eriksen] has many qualities, I think all of us know that. You can see how he plays, he is very comfortable on the ball and he has the composure to find a pass, so we’re delighted to have him here.”
Eriksen joined the club as a free agent in the recent transfer window. Since then, the 30-year-old has become a key member of Erik ten Hag’s side. The Danish midfielder has captivated fans with his displays.
In Erik ten Hag’s first competitive game in the Old Trafford dugout, Eriksen started in the centre-forward position. Then against Brentford, the gaffer played the 30-year-old as the pivot in the middle of the park.
United lost the first two fixtures of the 2022/23 campaign. However, Ten Hag tweaked with the team against Liverpool and has seemed to have found the winning formula.

Eriksen has mostly played in the number eight position. The Danish national has contributed in all the areas of the pitch with his creativity and will to track back.
The 30-year-old has been an ever-present in the gaffer’s plans this season. Eriksen has started every game the Red Devils have played. The Danish national has slotted straight into Ten Hag’s team.
