Erik ten Hag expects Marcus Rashford to return soon after Manchester United star suffers muscle injury
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is confident the injury Marcus Rashford sustained against Arsenal is nothing serious. The gaffer expects the 24-year-old to return soon, having missed the trip to Moldova.
Rashford has been in fine form over the last few weeks. The England international has contributed with crucial goals and assists against the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal in the Premier League.
Speaking to the media ahead of the match against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League via Manchester Evening News, Ten Hag revealed Rashford was sidelined due to a muscle injury. However, the Dutch manager is not worried.

“He’s not available, a consequence after Arsenal. He has a muscle injury. I don’t think too long, but I don’t know. It’s not really bad, we expect him quite soon to be back in the team.”
After enduring a hard start to life in Manchester, Ten Hag led the team on a four-game win streak in the league. And Rashford has been an important part of that run.
Rashford has found form under Ten Hag
The England international seemed to have lost his confidence after the Euro 2020 final. Fans did not feel the 24-year-old was the same last season. The academy graduate failed to make an impact when he featured in the team.
Rashford had one of his worst campaigns in a red shirt in the 2021/22 season. The 24-year-old played in 32 games in all competitions and scored just five goals.

However, during pre-season under the new gaffer, Rashford looked back to his best. And the England international has carried that form into the new season.
After setting up the first goal and scoring two in the 3-1 victory over the Gunners, Rashford was taken off in the 80th minute with an apparent niggle. The 24-year-old subsequently missed the match against Real Sociedad.
