Manchester United midfielder Casemiro reacted to the side’s win against Leicester City on Twitter. The Brazilian seems happy after getting the three points at the King Power Stadium after beating the Foxes 1-0.

Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho combined for the lone goal of the match against Brendan Rodgers’ side in the first half. The former Borussia Dortmund star calmly dispatched the ball into the net.

Casemiro came on as a substitute in the second half. The 30-year-old replaced forward Anthony Elanga in the 59th minute.

The Brazilian stepped into the side and put in an impressive display. Casemiro slotted into the middle and kept the ball moving nicely.

Erik ten Hag named an unchanged XI once again. Since the Liverpool game, the same team has featured for the Red Devils at the start of the game. That has meant the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Maguire have been kept on the bench.

Scott McTominay started alongside Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes in the midfield. The Scotland international has put in decent displays playing in the defensive midfield position over the last few games.

After the disappointment in the opening two games of the new campaign, the team has improved a lot. The engine room has looked much better since after the disappointment against Brentford.

More Manchester United News

Casemiro has been on the bench for the Southampton and Leicester games. The Brazilian has featured in both matches as a substitute and is yet to start a game for United.

United come up against Arsenal next on 4 September. The Gunner are yet to drop any points in the 2022/23 Premier League season and sit at the top of the table. It remains to be seen whether Casemiro gets into Ten Hag’s XI for what could prove to be a seasoned defining clash.
