Marcus Rashford is committed to Manchester United amidst interest from PSG

English international Marcus Rashford has reaffirmed his commitment to Manchester United amid links with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The 24-year-old has seen a dip in his form for the past few months. But he is still committed to his current side and hopes to compete for trophies with the club. Speaking to Sky Sports (h/t Daily Mail), Rashford gave his thoughts.

I feel like whatever the situation is I have to give 100 per cent for myself, family, friends and the fans. For me, I have always wanted to be at Man United for as long as possible and be competing for trophies at the club.

Rashford, an United academy graduate, was promoted to the first team in 2016. Since then he has been a regular under all the different managers that have come and gone. And he seems to be one even under Erik ten Hag.

He has played every minute of both the games for the club this season. The England international has been struggling in front of goal since last season. He managed to score only four goals in 25 league appearances last season.

Such a drop in form has led to him losing his place in the national squad. But, the 27-year-old is committed to his current side and such a commitment is something United could do with. The club has gotten off to the worst possible start, losing both their opening games.

Rashford has also backed Ten Hag and said that it just takes some time to adjust. Despite having a very good pre-season, the Red Devils have struggled to replicate that same form during the league games.

It just takes time to adapt. Some managers we have adapted quicker than we thought, others it has taken longer than we expected. Definitely right now the team is a work in progress and we have to understand the situation we are in and just keep pushing ourselves every day.

Ten Hag has a mountain to climb with this United side. The club has bought in three new signings and has an agreement in principle for Casemiro to become the fourth. But that may not be enough and he will likely need to bring in more players. But time is not on their side.
