OGC Nice have enquired about Manchester United forward Amad Diallo
Manchester United forward Amad Diallo has attracted the interest of French side OGC Nice. The Ligue 1 side have enquired about the possibility of signing the Ivory Coast international from the Red Devils, according to RMC Sport (h/t Manchester Evening News).
Nice are in search of a new attacker. Thus, Lucian Favre’s side have reached out to the Red Devils about the availability of Amad. However, the move could be challenging considering they want to take the 20-year-old on a permanent basis.
United aren’t willing to part ways with Amad. The Manchester-based club would be open to considering a loan move without an option to buy.
The Ivorian officially joined the Old Trafford side in January 2021. Amad has featured nine times for United since then. The 20-year-old hasn’t gotten a regular opportunity in Manchester.
After featuring in just one game for United in the first half of the 2021/22 campaign, Amad joined Rangers on loan in January. The 21-year-old played 13 times for the Glasgow-based club.
Amad played a part under Erik ten Hag during pre-season. The Manchester-based club were promising during the friendlies. The Ivorian had a standout performance against Rayo Vallecano.
However, the 20-year-old hasn’t featured for the side during Ten Hag’s first two competitive games of the season. And the performances of the Red Devils have been abysmal.
United have lost both games they’ve played so far during the 2022/23 Premier League campaign. The Red Devils have put in lacklustre performances. The forward line has failed to score a goal.

Amad needs game time to further develop as a player. Getting into the United XI is a challenging task. A move away would be the best bet for the Ivorian to get regular minutes. However, the 20-year-old has a lot of potential, and it’d be wise to only send him out on loan.
