Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro is attracting serious interest from Manchester United
According to Marca (h/t Express)Manchester United are interested in Real Madrid superstar Casemiro. The Red Devils want to seemingly add the Brazilian to the squad to bolster the midfield.
United have delegates in Madrid looking at a few transfer options. And Casemiro is one of the names the Manchester-based club are pursuing. However, the Red Devils haven’t put in a bid for the 30-year-old yet.
Casemiro has been an important part of the successful Real Madrid sides over the years. In the previous campaign, the Brazil international was a regular for Carlo Ancelloti as Los Blancos won La Liga and the Champions League.
It remains to be seen whether United will be able to prise away the 30-year-old from the Spanish giants. The Manchester-based club evidently need a quality midfielder this summer.
Casemiro is one of the best in his position at the moment. The Brazilian has five CL titles to his name. United need someone of the 30-year-old’s ilk to solidify the engine room.
Erik ten Hag has opted for Fred and Christian Eriksen in the holding midfield role in the first two games of the 2022/23 campaign. But the Red Devils haven’t looked solid in the middle of the park in either of the matches. Both of the midfielders made errors against Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford.
United have signed three players this transfer window as of yet. The middle of the park hasn’t seen a lot of additions after the multiple departures this summer. Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic were two key squad members who left Manchester.

Casemiro is a robust player who cuts off opposition attacks and provides solidity to the defense. Having conceded six goals in two Premier League games, United look like a side in need of more fight in the engine room.
