Erik ten Hag snubbed by Cristiano Ronaldo for handshake after Brentford loss
According to the Express, Cristiano Ronaldo looks to have snubbed Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag for a handshake while walking back into the tunnel.
Manchester United faced utter embarrassment in the hands of the Bees who ran riot against Erik ten Hag’s men going 4-0 up just 35 minutes into the game. Goals from Da Silva, Jensen, Ben Mee and Mbumeo were enough to secure Brentford three points.
To say that Man United had an awful game last night will be an understatement. Erik ten Hag’s men were extremely poor with a flurry of individual errors especially in the first half, none more glaring than David de Gea’s howler.
To be fair to the Red Devils, they did pick things up in the second half but were still unable to find a way past the Brentford defence. They created very little and not for once on the pitch did they look like the better team.
Ronaldo had a couple of glorious chances to convert in the second half but on both occasions, his headers failed to hit the target. The Portuguese superstar was far from his best last night but so were most of the Manchester United players.
In a video that has emerged in the aftermath of this disappointing performance from Man United, Ronaldo is seen walking back towards the tunnel shaking hands with a few players and personnel. He, however, does not offer a handshake to Ten Hag.

Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford is far from certain. Throughout the summer, he has been linked with a move away from the Manchester club but no transfer has materialised yet and the player finds himself stuck here.
Anyone who has seen Cristiano Ronaldo play in the first couple of matches this season can see that he looks far from happy. He looks like a man who does not want to belong here and this is something that the Red Devils need to sort out soon.
