Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag addresses transfer concerns ahead of trip to Brentford

According to the club’s official website, Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag spoke to the media ahead of his side’s game against Brentford this Saturday. It will be Ten Hag’s first competitive away game since taking charge of the Red Devils.

There has been a lot of buzz in the media when it concerns a team like Manchester United. Marcus Rashford is the latest name in the news amidst interest from Paris Saint-Germain. It was also reported that his entourage had a ‘positive’ meeting with the Parisian side. But Ten Hag’s answer should put those rumours to rest.

He is really important, you have seen from the first day I’m in, I’ve been really pleased. Definitely, I don’t want to lose him, he’s in our plans and he will stay at Manchester United.

Cristiano Ronaldo came off the bench last game and is now in contention to start the game against Brentford. Ten Hag has said that the 37-year-old had a good training week, but did not confirm if he will start or not.

When asked about what he had done after losing his first game, Ten Hag was very positive in his answer. The Dutchman said that he had analysed the game and dwelled on what went wrong. He admitted that when one makes a new start there are mistakes made.

The Dutchman also seemed to drop a hint when asked about players like Adrien Rabiot and Frenkie de Jong. Both the midfielders are linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer.

I’m happy, I think we’re cooperating really well. I cannot tell [you] about any individuals because I cannot talk about players who are under contract with other clubs.

Another major update that the Dutchman provided was that both Anthony Martial and Victor Lindelof would not be available for selection this weekend. Both were absent from the previous game as well due to injury but watched the match from the director’s box at Old Trafford.
