Transfer News: Manchester United in a four-way battle for Sasa Kalajdzic
According to Daily Mail, Manchester United are set to fight a four-way battle to sign talented Austrian striker Sasa Kalajdzic from Stuttgart this summer to reinforce their striker options.
The Red Devils are not the only club to be interested in the talented striker with Chelsea, Everton, and Bayern Munich also supposedly interested in the Bundesliga target man. It will not be an easy negotiation for Man United.
The Austrian international is set to be available for a fee of around £ 15 million this summer with Stuttgart supposedly willing to part ways with the 25-year-old striker ahead of the new Bundesliga campaign.
It is no secret that Man United are looking to sign a striker to reinforce their options in that position ahead of the current campaign. Right now, they have Cristiano Ronaldo and Anthony Martial as their two options.
However, the future of the Portuguese superstar is far from certain with Ronaldo pushing for a move away from Old Trafford ahead of this season. There is a lot of speculation on whether the 37-year-old will remain at the club.
On the other hand, Martial made a rollicking start to the pre-season under Erik ten Hag, setting the stage alight with goals in the pre-season. However, he has suffered an injury and could miss the start of the season.
Man United have been heavily linked with a move for Benjamin Sesko from RB Salzburg but it is still not clear if the Austrian giants are willing to part ways with their prized asset this season. Hence, the Red Devils need other options.
Kalajdzic is a solid option for Man United. He is far older and more experienced than Sesko and might be more first-team ready than the teenage sensation. He can play the backup role very well and be a good option for Ten Hag.
Standing 6 feet 7inches tall, Kalajdzic is a real presence up front. He can hold the ball up, play the role of the target-man and for a player of his height, he is surprisingly quick and has a very mean finish in his locker.

Kalajdzic seems like a very cheap sensible option for Man United. It remains to be seen if we can beat the other three clubs to his signature.
