Erik ten Hag praised Christian Eriksen for impressive display
Speaking in an interview with MUTV as quoted by Manchester Evening News, Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag praised debutant Christian Eriksen for his impressive display in the Red Devils’ loss to Atletico Madrid.
Christian Eriksen joined Manchester United on a free transfer this summer after failing to renew his contract with Brentford. The Danish playmaker has made an amazing start to his Red Devils career with a camera appearance off the bench.
Man United lost their pre-season friendly against Atletico Madrid to a solitary Joao Felix goal which put an end to their impressive pre-season displays ever since Erik ten Hag took over as the new manager.
Eriksen’s signing has slipped under the radar possibly due to the fact that it was a free transfer and also because it was followed in quick succession by the more talked about signing of Lisandro Martinez from Ajax.
The 30-year-old playmaker really impressed during the second half of the season playing for Brentford. The Danish superstar recovered exceptionally well from the unfortunate cardiac arrest he suffered during the Euros.
Anyone who has seen Brentford play last season knows that Christian Eriksen really improved the team upon his arrival and was easily one of the best creative players in the league during the second half of the campaign.

There is a feeling that in the absence of Paul Pogba, Man United have lacked a creative midfielder who can put in passes of exceptional quality and Christian Eriksen could be the answer to those problems.
