Manchester United want to know when Cristiano Ronaldo will return to training
According to The Express, Manchester United are urgently seeking clarification on when Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will return to training with the team after missing the pre-season tour.
Ronaldo did not turn up to pre-season and did not travel with the team to Australia citing family reasons. The club gave him permission to miss the pre-season tour but there is still no clarity as to when the 37-year-old will return.
The Red Devils are expected to return to training in Manchester on Tuesday after being given a day off today. But it is still not clear whether the former Juventus star will be in Carrington tomorrow with his teammates.

Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford is far from certain. He continues to be constantly linked with a move away from the club. Nothing seems to have materialised yet but Man United can still not be sure if the 37-year-old will be with them next season.
One main reason why the rumours refuse to die down is due to the fact that Man United failed to secure Champions League qualification last season. Ronaldo is supposedly keen on not missing out on the competition and hence wants to leave.
Ronaldo joined Man United for the second time from Juventus last summer. The return of the prodigal son was expected to be a huge success and was seen as the signing that could lead the Red Devils to glory once more.

However, despite the Portuguese forward being on the top of his game, his contributions haven’t really inspired the team to anything last season. The Red Devils ended trophyless and it was one of their worst seasons.
Now, Man United are trying to revive themselves and are entering a new project under Erik ten Hag. If the pre-season performances are anything to go by, then exciting times lie ahead of us as Manchester United fans.
