Marcus Rashford says he feels ready for the new season with Manchester United

Speaking in an interview as quoted by BBC Sport, Manchester United superstar Marcus Rashford is ready to put the past season behind him and start afresh in the new season under Erik ten Hag.

An extremely talented attacker who has been destined for the very best in the game, everything looked to be going great for Rashford until last season when the English international struggled to get into a rhythm after missing the first half of the season.

One of the most prodigious talents to come out of the Carrington academy in recent years, Rashford has all the makings to become a superstar of the game. There is not much that the English forward cannot do on a football pitch.

Last season turned out to be abysmal for the 24-year-old who had to miss the first half of the campaign due to surgery he had to undergo following the Euros. When he came back, he struggled to get up to speed with the rest of the team.

Rashford played 31 times for the Red Devils last season but managed to score only five goals and provide two assists across all competitions. These numbers do not sound impressive for a player of his calibre.

Nevertheless, a new season offers the English international a fresh start and that is exactly how he looks at it. While there was uncertainty surrounding his future leading up to the Erik ten Hag era, it seems his eyes are fully focused on the job at hand at Man Utd.

“It is an opportunity to refresh. I am ready to go again. We play for a big club and we are expected to win”

Rashford is too good a player to have two bad seasons in a row and with a proper pre-season behind him, he could rediscover his mojo and become a huge asset to Erik ten Hag and his plans in the coming season.
