According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are still unclear about the date when Cristiano Ronaldo will return to take part in the training sessions. He failed to turn up today as well after citing family reasons as the cause for his absence so far.
Ronaldo was an absentee from yesterday’s training at Carrington, and that streak has continued in Tuesday’s session as well. While Man United have permitted the superstar to take leaves, it still raises doubts over his future after expressing his desire to leave this summer.
Despite the personal cause for his absence, Cristiano was still spotted at Portugal’s training centre on Monday, which adds to the current uncertain situation at Old Trafford. The squad is set to travel this Friday for their pre-season friendlies, but there are concerns about Ronaldo’s availability as of now.

Even if the Portuguese international is absent for personal reasons, it does not help how the timing coincides with his request to let him depart in this transfer window. That has led to fears and frustration within the fanbase, with the players possibly in the same boat.
After all, they would also be aware of the lack of clarity regarding this situation, which certainly does not help strengthen the squad morale. After all, the focus should be on working with Erik ten Hag to adapt to his new needs, but that may not be the case right now.
