Fabrizio Romano: Christian Eriksen in line to undergo Manchester United medical

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Christian Eriksen is in line to undergo medical tests to complete his transfer to Manchester United. He has made up his mind to move to Old Trafford and be a part of Erik ten Hag’s project from the next campaign onwards.

Eriksen has agreed to pen a three-year contract with Man United after being with Brentford in the last six months. Ten Hag’s side has prepared the paperwork for it to be signed, with the attacking midfielder being in line to become their second signing of this summer.

The Danish international is set to undergo medical tests, after which the contract will officially be signed. Eriksen will become a Red Devils player after that, but the next part is still a roadblock after the cardiac arrest he suffered during the Euro 2020 last summer.

Massive addition!

The 30-year-old has shown to the world that he can still perform at the highest level looking at his performances for club and country since he returned to action back in January. His arrival would gladly be welcomed by the supporters after the massive exodus they had in midfield.

Eriksen’s creative presence is a much-needed addition to our ranks, considering how Paul Pogba and Juan Mata have left us this summer. While we have other attacking midfield options like Bruno Fernandes and Donny van de Beek in our squad, both of them are off different profiles.

Fernandes was subjected to a lot of criticisms from the fanbase due to his inability to be a creative outlet in midfield. Unfortunately, that is not his profile, as he is more focused on playing the final ball to the attackers in the final third of the pitch.

More Manchester United News

Van de Beek, on the other hand, is someone who makes late runs into the box and facilitates link-up play with his teammates. Eriksen, meanwhile, offers a different option for ten Hag to choose from, which is always helpful in various in-game scenarios.

In any case, the fans are currently looking forward to seeing the results of the medical that will take place soon. After all, while Eriksen did well for the Bees, the unfortunate incident he suffered still has caused some worries among the supporters. Let’s hope that he can pass the tests without much trouble, as is usually the case with all the transfers.
