Transfer News: Manchester United establish contact with Argentine superstar Paulo Dybala

According to reports in Italy (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United have contacted the agents of former Juventus forward Paulo Dybala ahead of his free transfer to Inter Milan.

Dybala is set to leave Juventus for free this summer after failing to renew his contract with the Old Lady. His seven-year stint in Turin is set to come to an end as he looks to continue his career in pastures new.

The Argentinian forward joined Juventus from Palermo in 2015 and has since then gone on to become one of the best players in Serie A. Despite a couple of indifferent seasons in between, Dybala has had a fairly successful career to date.

The 28-year-old had a very decent last season with the Serie A giants playing 39 games across all competitions scoring 15 goals and providing six assists. Juventus would have been better off keeping him but he is set to be available for free.

Inter Milan have been interested in Dybala for quite some time now but the deal has now become more complicated since the Nerazzurri have completed the loan signing of Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea this summer.

Manchester United and Arsenal are keen on jumping on the opportunity and have contacted Paulo Dybala’s agents over a possible move to England but the Argentinian is tipped to stay in Italy at least as of now.

Dybala is extremely versatile and can play at multiple positions on the field. He can be a centre-forward, second striker, attacking midfielder and even as a right-winger. This makes him appealing to any manager.

The Argentinian superstar is a huge talent who is capable of changing games on his own as we have seen many times in the past. After a couple of seasons of indifferent form, the 28-year-old seems to be getting back to his best.

Dybala also finds himself back in the national team picture and all the stars seem to be aligning in the Argentinian star’s career. Whilst it is likely that he ends up in Inter Milan, Manchester United’s interest in the player is certainly interesting.

A huge summer awaits Dybala. He seems to be entering the prime of his career and it remains to be seen where he chooses to spend it. Man United will be a sensible option but all we can do is wait and watch.
