Bruno Fernandes wants Manchester United to win every competition next season
Speaking in an interview with O Jogo as quoted by Manchester Evening News, Manchester United sensation Bruno Fernandes has made it very clear that he expects the Red Devils to challenge for all trophies next season.
The Red Devils are coming off the back of a very disappointing campaign, to say the least where they finished sixth in the Premier League and got knocked out in the round of 16 to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
This meant that they finished trophyless yet again failing to win the cup competitions too. Huge changes were expected from the Red Devils following this utter disappointment and it started off with appointing a new manager in Erik ten Hag.
The Dutch tactician is fully expected to lead the revival project of Manchester United and take them into a new era with the Old Trafford faithful hopeful that the former Ajax manager will lead them back to their former glory days.
Speaking about the new project under ten Hag and what he expects ahead of next season, Portuguese superstar Bruno Fernandes said
Whatever it is, we’re going to try to win every competition. It’s a new project, it’s something that starts from scratch and we have to give it time to flourish.
Whilst wanting to win all competitions next season, Fernandes showed a bit of pragmatism in his words as he acknowledged that Man United will need to be given the time to flourish.
No project is built overnight and we cannot expect Erik ten Hag to do magic with a squad that has been underperforming for many seasons now. Whilst the Dutch tactician is capable of turning the situation around, he will need time.
One thing that really works in favour of Erik ten Hag is the fact that he will have a solid pre-season where he can instil his ideas into the team and make them play the way he wants them to. He will also be able to judge which players fit his system.

The pre-season is a time of trial and error. However, when we go into the new season, we must have a fair idea of how our team is going to play. Whilst immediate success cannot be expected, a gradual improvement in performance is a good start.
After many seasons of frustration and disappointment, it’s high time we see a change. Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs in the world but we need to live up to that tag. Let’s hope Erik ten Hag is the man to lead us back to where we belong.
