Borussia Dortmund slap a massive price tag on Manchester United target Jude Bellingham
According to the German publication SportBild (h/t Daily Mail), Borussia Dortmund have set a massive price tag on Jude Bellingham, who is a transfer target for Manchester United, ahead of an expected tussle next summer. He is among the top of the English club’s wishlist for the long-term future, and it looks like a considerable effort is required to strike a deal.
Dortmund will demand a minimum of £103million in transfer fees to finalise a move for Bellingham after the next season. They are expecting interest from some of the top European sides, with Man United being one among them. Liverpool and Real Madrid are also in the mix to sign him at this moment.
The England international is contracted until 2025, which gives the German club the licence to demand such a fee for one of the best midfield prospects in world football right now. The Red Devils will need to be more than prepared if they hope to get their hands on the highly-rated prodigy in the future.
Can Man Utd succeed in signing Bellingham?
The 19-year-old is widely regarded in the football world to be at the top of the food chain when it comes to young midfield talents competing with Barcelona’s Pedri. The former’s time in Germany further solidified those claims as he has quickly become a regular for club and country.
Since joining the Bundesliga side in 2020, Bellingham has garnered a tally of ten goals and 18 assists from 89 games, which is quite solid for a central midfielder indeed. Securing his signature would be a major statement on our part and our ambition to reach the top under Erik ten Hag.
Even though we appear to have secured Frenkie de Jong, there still exists the need to reinforce our midfield options. After all, we could use someone who could dictate the play in the centre of the pitch with Fred and Scott McTominay not being known for their technical skills.
