Transfer News: Fulham agree deal to sign Andreas Pereira from Manchester United
According @Marcelo_Hazan and @UOLEsporte via UtdReport[h/t Manchester Evening News], Fulham have reached an agreement with Manchester United to sign out-of-favour midfielder Andreas Pereira.
Having been in United’s ranks since 2012 when he joined the U-18 team from PSV Eindhoven, Pereira has spent a rather disappointing ten seasons on the books of Man United. Highly rated once upon a time, it is safe to say that he has not lived up to expectations.
The Brazilian midfielder has on occasions showcased the talent he possesses which is why he is rated very highly. Capable of scoring long-range screamers as we have seen in the past, his inconsistency has really let him down.
He got promoted to the first team in 2015. 75 games in seven seasons since where has scored just four goals and provided five assists and four loan spells later, the Brazilian has always been disappointing in a Red Devils shirt.
Even this season, Pereira who had been loaned out to Flamengo has failed to recapture any sort of form and has scored just one goal and provided two assists across all competitions. He is set to return to the Red Devils and be sold for good.
Fulham are said to be keen on giving the Brazilian another chance and signing him from Manchester United. They have agreed on a fee worth €10m plus €3m in add-ons to sign Pereria ahead of next season.

At 26, Pereira is still very young and has a lot of years of football left in him. Moving away from Man United could just be what the Brazilian wants to kickstart his faltering career and Fulham could prove to be a good launchpad for just that.
Playing in a team where he is trusted and given a consistent run to prove his worth might bring the hidden talent in the Brazilian playmaker. If he can chip in with consistent performances for Fulham, he could be a great acquisition for the PL new boys.
Man United might not have managed to get the best out of a player they initially imagined would be a great signing for them. Yet, they could still pocket at least €10m from his sale which could turn out to be good for them.
