Sassuolo show interest in taking Manchester United starlet Amad Diallo on loan

According to Metropolitan Magazine via Sport Witness (h/t Manchester Evening News), Sassuolo have expressed their interest in signing Manchester United starlet Amad Diallo on a loan transfer next summer. He is currently plying his trade on loan at Rangers, where he has had a mixed time so far.

The Serie A club are “very interested” in facilitating a loan move for Diallo in the summer transfer window. As such, the forward could move to Italy to join them since he is unlikely to get consistent minutes at Old Trafford next season.

Hence, the Italian side could offer a solution in the form of a loan where the 19-year-old can attain regular game time, unlike at Old Trafford. It remains to be seen whether a formal approach would be made or not and if Man United would entertain the attempt in the summer.

Endless loans?

The Ivorian has already made four appearances for the Scottish side while scoring once across all competitions. He started off his spell at Ibrox with an instant bang by netting a goal in his debut game. However, since then, he has endured only fixed success.

That could still change as the Red Devils loanee is bound to get more chances moving forward. That being said, he should be on his toes and take the opportunities that will be coming his way in the future. He should try to make a case for himself at the earliest before getting lost through endless loans.

Having spent £37.2million in transfer fees to get the Ivory Coast international’s services from Atalanta, it would be a big loss if the winger fails to fulfil his undoubted potential. However, if he cannot get regular minutes with us next season, it would be best to look elsewhere to ensure Diallo’s development does not suffer.

More Manchester United News

There might still be some hope for Diallo in the coming months ahead of the summer transfer window. Jadon Sancho has been moved to the left wing by Ralf Rangnick, and he looks set to be used on that side. That has reduced the depth on the opposite flank where the Man United loanee can get a place if he impresses in the remaining months.

Let’s hope that the former Atalanta man does that, as we could be seeing our large investment go down the drain otherwise. Only time will give us an answer regarding his future prospects with us.
