Manchester United respond to domestic abuse accusations from ex-girlfriend Harriet Robson on Mason Greenwood
According to The Mirror, Manchester United have issued a response to the domestic abuse accusations surrounding an incident involving Mason Greenwood. He was accused of violent conduct by his girlfriend on social media, leading the club to respond to these claims.
Harriet Robson had posted several posts on Instagram, which included several videos and pictures accusing Greenwood of domestic violence. They were eventually taken down before several social media users saved it and spread the information. In one of those videos, she was visibly harmed with blood flowing out of her mouth.
One of the videos had a caption that stated, “To everyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood actually does to me.” There was even a disturbing voice clip where the Englishman supposedly behaved violently towards her. The Red Devils released a statement in light of these accusations where they expressed how they are in the process of verification.
“We are aware of images and allegations circulating on social media. We will not make any further comment until the facts have been established. Manchester United does not condone violence of any kind.”
Let’s wait and see
These are strong claims that have been made against the 20-year-old and may well turn out to be true. But these are accusations for now, so we have to be composed regarding this subject. We should wait and see how this situation develops in the coming hours.
The England international had a previous instance when he got forced out of the national team squad after breaking the Covid-19 bubble. He had brought in a couple of Icelandic models to the team hotel, which led to his suspension from the team. However, despite that, he got back with Harriet after some time and had been in a relationship since then.
If this incident is believed to be true, the Red Devils forward must suffer the harshest consequences for what he has done and never set foot on the pitch again. Abuse is not something that should be overlooked, so he should deserve the appropriate punishment. There have been no words from his representatives, so let us wait and see what their response would be. We must clarify that we completely believe in what Harriet has put forth.

There have been previous cases when the English starlet’s behaviour has been questionable, but not to this extent. There were times when he was issued a warning for causing disciplinary issues at the club. Apparently, there were also talks about a clash with Cristiano Ronaldo, which created differences between them when they played together.
