Transfer News: Manchester United and Liverpool keen on signing Palmeiras youth ace Endrick

According to transfer news by Yahoo journalist Jorge Nicola (h/t Daily Star), Manchester United and Liverpool are interested in signing Palmeiras starlet Endrick.

The 15-year-old wonderkid has been sensational over the past couple of years. He has been in the headlines recently after a video emerged of him scoring a mind-blowing goal. The youngster intercepted a wayward pass before turning quickly and beating two opponents before chipping the goalkeeper.

That goal took his tally to 165 goals in 169 games at the youth level. It was also his third strike in this year’s Copinha (Sao Paulo Junior Cup)– a tournament for U-21 players. In fact, Endrick has already played in three age groups (U-15, U-17, U-20) this season, such has been his impact. But despite all of this, he is yet to pen a professional contract at Palmeiras.

Man United have apparently gotten into contact with the young star’s representatives and have made their interest clear to Palmeiras. However, the Red Devils would be wary of the competition, since Man City, Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Barcelona are monitoring the striker, according to Sport Bible (h/t Daily Star).

One for the future?

The boy may only be 15 years old, but he has already been tipped to become a global superstar. His agent is also the same person that manages deals for Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr. Thus, his representative is very capable of landing him a blockbuster deal too.

However, Man United shall have to beat the competition to do the same. And this is only possible if we offer him a lucrative contract and an enticing project. The Red Devils have a lot of prestige, but we have not lifted the league title or the UCL trophy for a while now.

The situation is so dire that we are finding it hard to finish in the Top 4 this season. Liverpool, Man City, and Real Madrid, comparatively, are much more stable with regards to the projects of their respective managers, while Barcelona are also rebuilding the club under Xavi with the help of potential world-beaters. But we do have some hope of sealing a deal, due to our current manager.

Ralf Rangnick secured moves for incredible youngsters during his time at RB Leipzig. The gaffer may well do the same for us once he is hired as a consultant after the end of the current campaign. However, neither Rangnick’s potential role in any deal nor Endrick’s willingness to join us is known at the moment.

The long-term future is in the hands of talents like Endrick, and if we can land the Brazilian, he could become our next superstar on the block in the coming years. The big boys are chasing the likes of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, so United should steal a march in the race for Endrick and develop a world-beater of their own who can then lead the line at Old Trafford for several years to come.
