Transfer News: Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has offered himself to La Liga club
According to AS (h/t SportWitness), Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is eyeing a move away from Old Trafford and has offered his services to Real Sociedad.
Juan Mata had a decent spell at Manchester United. The Spaniard gave good performances in some previous seasons. However, the 33-year-old has passed his peak years and is currently a bench-warmer at United. The former Chelsea man has only featured in 3 matches this season, and it looks like new manager Ralf Rangnick’s plans don’t include him, given by his lack of trust in him.
It is believed that Mata’s stay at Old Trafford is improbable. The Spaniard is currently closing on his contract end and is looking for a new destination ahead of the January transfer window.

Even though the 33-year-old midfielder’s current wages are very high, his age implies that he wouldn’t get any better deal in the current market. Thus, La Real possess the ability to offer a competitive wage deal to the United star.
Mata served United for a long time. The Spaniard has bagged 51 goals and 47 assists while featuring in 276 matches for the Red Devils. However, many young talents have made breakthroughs to the first team who offer more dynamic qualities than the Spanish international.
