Transfer News: Manchester United are keen on signing Borussia Monchengladbach starDenis Zakaria

According to SportItalia (h/t Teamtalk), Manchester United are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach player Denis Zakaria.

Denis Zakaria has become a consistent performer for Borussia Monchengladbach. This season the Bundesliga team gave away 14 goals which is lower than Borussia Dortmund’s record. The swiss player played a profound defying role in the critical midfield areas. Furthermore, his physicality and game awareness has become a massive asset for the German team’s midfield.

The 24-year-old player also played a key role for Sweden in stopping Italy from qualifying to the World Cup by holding them in a 1-1 draw.

It is believed that Manchester United are planning to approach the player who can become a viable alternative for Fred.

The Brazilian player’s recent form remains a concern for Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s team. His volatile performance has not been up to the standard United require right now to compete against top teams.

Without the required cover from the midfield, the United defence has suffered horribly against fast attackers, and they have given away easy goals and showed several flaws in the midfield.

But the Red Devils won’t have a free run in the pursuit of the Swiss defensive midfielder as Juventus have kept an eye on the player’s contract situation. But the Ed Woodward’s management has received an enormous boost after the player showed intentions to play in England.

It is believed that the player is ‘currently leaning’ towards an exit from Germany, but he prefers a Premier League club for his ideal destination.
