Manchester United board could change their ‘decision’ by sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before the trip to Watford
According to the Manchester Evening News (h/t The Express), the Manchester United board could change their decision on the future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer by sacking him before the Watford game.
The Red Devils are currently 6th in the table and need a victory. The last two months have completely railroaded our campaign. 3 victories out of the last 10 games are not the result anybody expected, let alone the embarrassing defeats to Liverpool and Man City.
However, Solskjaer has still managed to stay at Old Trafford. Louis Van Gaal and Jose Mourinho have previously been dismissed for a shoddy patch of form, but some patience has been shown with regards to the Norwegian.
But he is yet to deliver a convincing title challenge. The investment shelled out this summer was more than enough to win at least one major title. Yet, the 48-year-old has not brought us any closer than we already were.
Although it seemed as if a snap decision was not going to be made on his future, that might be about to change. It is claimed that a resolution is yet to be met amongst board members, but Solskjaer could still be sacked before the Watford game.
It puts into perspective the importance of the game against the Hornets. They have won only thrice this season and sit 17th in the table. Hence, losing to them could mean doomsday for the gaffer if he avoids the sack before the game.
