Transfer News: Manchester United star Paul Pogba has made a decision to join Juventus on one condition

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via Inside Futbol (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United ace Paul Pogba has decided to join Juventus on the condition that they will be able to qualify for the Champions League.

Pogba had rejoined the Manchester club back in 2016 after he left the club in 2012 to join Juventus. He was bought for a world record fee of £89m at that time and has had a rocky tenure so far at Old Trafford.

Following the move, the Frenchman has made 49 assists and 38 goals in 219 appearances for United. However, he has not been consistent enough with the world-class quality for which he was purchased. This is a sharp contrast to his time for France national team, where he has excelled during this period.

The 28-year-old’s contract will expire next summer, and the Red Devils are in danger of losing him on a free. The English club would be incurring heavy losses through transfer fees and the wages paid for the player.

The midfielder is ready to take a wage cut for the move to Juve but with the hopes of playing in the Champions League. He is suggested to make the transfer next year when he will become a free agent. Pogba is currently out with an injury and will miss the action for up to ten weeks.

And since Mino Raiola is representing the French midfielder, contract negotiations would be a tough ask. The board and Raiola have a strained relationship due to previous encounters, which do not help in this situation.
