Transfer News: AC Milan are plotting a transfer for Manchester United star Eric Bailly
According to the Twitter account of Utdreport (h/t Manchester Evening News), AC Milan are interested in completing a transfer for Manchester United ace Eric Bailly.
The Rossoneri made it back into the UEFA Champions League this season, thanks to their hard work last campaign. However, some of their players might want to depart the club now.
Franck Kessie is thought to be one of them, while defender Alessandro Romagnoli is the other. The centre-back has been crucial for the club and is a huge reason behind their 2nd position on the league table.
However, they are already making plans, should he leave San Siro. If Romagnoli leaves, Milan are planning on recruiting Man United star Eric Bailly.
The centre-back was in and out of the squad last season but has failed to feature prominently during this campaign. Until the end of last month, the Ivorian had failed to make a single league start this term.
However, he has come to the fore due to the club’s recent injury troubles. Raphael Varane picked up an injury during the game against Atalanta, and Bailly was crucial in shoring up the backline against the Italian club.

Varane is ruled out of action for a month and Harry Maguire does not look like his usual self. Moreover, the 27-year-old signed a new three-year contract at Old Trafford earlier this year, with the option of a further year.
Thus, it does not look like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would want his centre-back to leave any time soon. The Old Trafford outfit wants to get back on their glory years, and this is perhaps the time to retain experienced players rather than selling them off.
