Transfer News: Manchester United receive boost as Real Sociedad star Alexander Isak open to making a move to England
Speaking to The Independent (h/t Sports Mole), Real Sociedad ace Alexander Isak has revealed that he is open to joining the Premier League amidst transfer interest from Manchester United.
The Swedish international has been in brilliant form for the Basque club since joining them in the summer of 2019. Things did not work out to plan at Borussia Dortmund, but the centre-forward has taken well to La Liga.
After settling down well in his first season, Isak scored 17 goals in 34 league games last season. The striker has not dropped his levels this term, having knocked in 5 goals and providing 1 assist in 12 games across all competitions.
Although he has committed his future to Sociedad until 2026, he has been linked with a move to Man United, Man City, Chelsea, and Arsenal. In a huge boost for the interested clubs, the 22-year-old recently revealed that he would be open to joining the Premier League in the future.
Isak told The Independent (h/t Sports Mole):
“I’m in a good place at the moment, I am very happy, but one day it would be nice to play in England as well. “They have six or seven of the biggest clubs in the world, it is a very high level, and of course, one day it would be an alternative.
“Every player wants to be the best version of themselves and reach the highest possible level. I have expectations for myself that I am trying to fulfil, so we will see where the journey takes me in future.”

The Red Devils would be aware that Edinson Cavani could very well depart Old Trafford once his contract expires next summer. Cristiano Ronaldo shall also be six months away from becoming 38 at the start of next season, and thus, a move for the Swede would be a clever decision.
Given his age and talent, we could definitely use a striker that is likely to guarantee goals season after season, especially if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes to win the big trophies in the coming years.
