Harry Maguire has urged his Manchester United teammates to come together as a group ahead of the Tottenham Hotspur game
Speaking to the club’s official website (h/t The Sun), Manchester United star Harry Maguire has claimed that the club needs to come together and maintain positivity ahead of the game against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Red Devils suffered a horrendous defeat against arch-rivals Liverpool last weekend, and it has been a hard process to get over something like that. The entire team was all over the place as the Reds picked them apart and displayed the lack of cohesion in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
Harry Maguire, who recently completed his return from injury, was partly at fault for a couple of Liverpool’s goals on the day and also immediately apologized to the fans after the poor performance.
The club are now set to face Tottenham in the coming weekend and the English centre-back has urged his teammates to come together as a group. The club captain told the club’s official website (h/t The Sun):
“It’s a tough one to move on from, but we need to move on. It’s been a tough week obviously, you can’t just brush these things aside, especially when you lose to your rivals. To lose in the manner that we did was so disappointing.
“We’ve obviously had big discussions; we’ve analysed the game and the goals and looked at how we can do better and improve…We know as a group of players we need to make sure we’re together and we’re positive…That’s the most important thing now, we need to come together as a group and a club.”
