Manchester United fans call for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be sacked after humiliating loss to Liverpool

As per the club’s official Twitter account, Manchester United suffered an embarrassing 5-0 defeat to Liverpool at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have had some bad games in the last two months, but perhaps this is the lowest it could stoop to. Liverpool were always going to be the dominating team, but a humiliating result is the last thing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needed.

The game started in a wild fashion as Naby Keita found the back of the net for the second consecutive game after United were carved open. The second goal came just after a few minutes as Alexander-Arnold whipped a cross in, and Diogo Jota tucked home from five yards.

It was then the Mo Salah show, who also set up Keita’s first goal. The Guinean returned the favour as he set up the Egyptian’s first goal. However, he was not done for the half as he slashed the ball past David de Gea just before the end of a gruelling 45 minutes. Salah found his hattrick five minutes into the second half as he chipped the ball over United’s No 1.

Although it seemed later like Cristiano Ronaldo finished sumptuously, it was ruled out as he was offside. There was a lack of intensity, and then the poor performance turned into madness as Paul Pogba, who had just come on during the second half, was sent off for a dangerous challenge.

Thus, things only turned worse from there as the fans began to exit the stadium soon. Solskjaer looked like a lonely figure on the touchline as he saw his team drop points for a fourth consecutive league game.
