Bruno Fernandes claims Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has the backing of the Manchester United dressing room
Speaking to Brazil’s TNT Sports (h/t ESPN), Bruno Fernandes has revealed that the Manchester United dressing completely buys into the ideas of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Norwegian has come under a lot of pressure recently after the club endured a rough patch of form post the international break in September. An exit in the EFL Cup, no victories in the last three Premier League games and an edgy Champions League group was enough to worry the most optimistic Solskjaer fan.
It felt like the poor results were going to continue after the Red Devils went down 2-0 in the first half against Atalanta recently. However, the players fought back and ensured that their boss lives to fight another day.
Bruno Fernandes, who picked up the man-of-the-match award on the night, revealed that the 48-year-old manager has the complete backing of the dressing room. He told TNT Sports (h/t ESPN):
“Of course, obviously, he is our coach. We follow him every day. We show that. We follow his ideas, and we will continue to do so.
“We believe in our coach and our staff… we need to do what the coach tells us because our coach is the maximum exponent of what we must respect. He has been here for three years, and we’ve done good things…We have a lot to improve on and the coach also knows there has to be some improvement at their end but that is part of football.”

The Portuguese international also acknowledged that the club have not won any silverware yet under the former Molde boss. However, given the massive investment this summer, the players are likely to click together soon and manage a string of victories.
Solskjaer may have inspired a turnaround in mid-week, but with Liverpool, Tottenham, and Manchester City to be played over the next two weeks, the real challenge will begin now.
