“He’s world-class”: Some fans react as Man United trio win the UEFA Nations League with France

Some fans react as Manchester United trio Raphael Varane, Paul Pogba, and Anthony Martial win the UEFA Nations League with France

Manchester United trio Raphael VaranePaul Pogba, and Anthony Martial were part of the successful France team that won the UEFA Nations League final against Spain on Sunday night.

Les Bleus lifted the trophy and rejoiced in glory after they made an incredible comeback by scoring two wonderful goals, thanks to Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe. United duo Raphael Varane and Paul Pogba were named in the starting lineup, however, only one managed to make it to the end of the game.

Varane, who was looking good on the ball for the first half an hour of the game, had to limp off after he suffered an injury 30 minutes into the game. Dayot Upamecano came in to replace the former Real Madrid man and showed a lot of tenacity throughout the game.

However, Paul Pogba, on the other hand, was sensational on the night. In a midfield pivot alongside AS Monaco ace Aurelien Tchouameni, the United superstar ruled the roost and commanded the play from start to front.

He was working hard on the ball and off-the-ball and was highly influential on the edge of both boxes. While he was heading the balls out of danger in his box, he was showcasing his creative instincts near the opposition box. His lung-bursting run was one of the key reasons for France scoring the equalizer.

Although Spain were the first to find the back of the net, a resolute performance was shown by Les Bleus after they knocked in two goals in quick succession as they were named the winners of only the second edition of the UEFA Nations League.
