Glazers unhappy that Solskjaer is unable to get the best out of key Manchester United trio
According to The Transfer Window Podcast (h/t Express), Manchester United owners, the Glazers are unhappy with the way Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is failing to get the best out of his summer recruits.
The Red Devils have put in a number of unflattering performances this season that have put a target on his back. The Norwegian has been backed well in the summer and his inability to get the newcomers firing all cylinders could cost him dear.
With the international break set for the upcoming weeks, Solskjaer has an opportunity to regain his bearings and come up with a plan to get the best out of his side.
As things stand, United still look open at the back despite the addition of Raphael Varane and while Cristiano Ronaldo continues to score goals, the team as a whole is yet to form a cohesive unit.
Jadon Sancho, for all his potential, remains underwhelming and is yet to even make a shot on goal for the Red Devils. It is fair to assume that the 21-year-old will need some time to get used to the English game. If the early signs are anything to go by, it does not appear promising.
According to the report, United are not yet ready to sack Solskjaer. However, the fact that we are having this conversation does not bode well for the Norwegian.
Getting his summer signings firing is one way for Solskjaer to start turning around the club’s fortunes. The United boss has admittedly underachieved given the squad of players he has at his disposal.
Now in his third full season at the club, he should be providing solutions rather than look for excuses. Unless results pick up, Solskjaer could discover that his legendary status within the club does not give him a free pass.
