Transfer News: Mino Railo makes Juventus claim as Manchester United star Paul Pogba nears contract end
Speaking to RAI via Corriere dello Sport (h/t Daily Mail), Mino Raiola admitted that a free transfer to Juventus is still on the cards for Manchester United star, Paul Pogba.
The French midfielder is in the last year of his contract at Old Trafford. And recently, he has been linked with a move to Juventus as well as La Liga giants, Real Madrid.
If he doesn’t renew his deal, Pogba would be free to discuss terms with foreign clubs from January 2022 regarding a free transfer. And his agent has now claimed that a return to the Old Lady is a real possibility.
“For sure Turin has remained in his heart and he cares a lot about these things. The possibility of returning to Juventus is there but it also depends on Juve.”
Raiola and the Red Devils haven’t always shared the best relationship amongst them. Back in December 2020, the super-agent made a huge claim regarding the Frenchman’s future at Old Trafford.
“I can say that it’s over for Paul Pogba at Manchester United. He has to change teams, he has to change the air.”
It’s the job of agents to get the best possible deal for themselves and the player when conducting such transfer negotiations. Hence, whatever they say and do with regards to their clients should be understood in the context of the particular situation.

In this case, it is hard to tell what the French international wants. A World Cup winner with France, Pogba’s talent and ambitions aren’t up for debate. But it remains to be seen if he wants to see out the remainder of his peak years at Man United under Solskjaer.
